As Beacon Broadband, Inc. ramps up the construction and deployment of its fiber-to-the-home network, the Beacon Broadband Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Bill Gerski to lead sales and marketing efforts for the organization.
Effective October 15, Gerski will serve as Vice President of Marketing and Sales reporting directly to Paul Recanzone, General Manager of Beacon Broadband.

Before joining Beacon Broadband Inc., Gerski spent the last four years of his career serving the rural areas of north-central Pennsylvania as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Tri-Co Connections, a subsidiary of Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative.

Gerski brings over four decades of dynamic experience in the broadband and telecommunication industry to Beacon Broadband. He has high-level executive marketing and sales experience at Time Warner, Viacom, Adelphia, Bell Atlantic, Huawei Technologies, Dish Network, Sirius Satellite Radio, CHR Solutions, and National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative, among others.

“I am delighted to join Beacon Broadband and lead the way to closing the digital divide for over 14,000 residents and commercial establishments on the southern coast of Oregon,” says Gerski, “I look forward to getting out in the community and sharing the high-speed fiber broadband experience with community members and businesses alike.”

One of Gerski’s proudest accomplishments was the innovative public-private community program he created, the FCC award-winning Senior2Senior, where active agers are taught internet basics by tech-savvy high school senior volunteers. Gerski believes the Senior2Senior program not only equips active agers with the tools they need to be successful in the 21st century but aids in closing the digital divide in rural areas where access is limited.
